The shortage of nursing and healthcare professionals in Germany and other industrialized countries is increasingly leading to international recruitment, often from countries in the Global South. This practice raises complex ethical questions: What responsibility do host countries and institutions have toward the recruited individuals and their countries of origin? What impact does this have on the health systems of the countries of origin and the right to health there? How can individual migration interests be reconciled with global justice and sustainability? <\/p>\n

The research project \u201cSocial Ethics of International Recruitment of Health Professionals\u201d examines these challenges from a Christian social ethics perspective. The aim is to develop a comprehensive ethical assessment concept that integrates global, national, and institutional responsibilities. <\/p>\n
